Below is a link to a BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation)
documentary made in 1965 called "The War Game". It describes some of
the horrible effects that would occur if a nuclear strike were to happen, using
information obtained from atomic bomb strikes that have been committed in the
past and information from experts at the time. The only thing wrong with this
documentary is that there would be either no initial survivors, or those few
survivors would be very few in number and would ALL be in critical condition.
I'm no expert in nuclear physics or anything like that, but I'm pretty sure it
would actually be worse than as depicted in this powerful film.
It would be wonderful if all people could just agree to never
touch or speak of touching nuclear weapons or atomic bombs, no matter what the
circumstances are. There also needs to be no more war of any kind, because
despite what the reasons are, there's always a peaceful solution, even though
it may be harder to choose it than to simply go start a war.
I don't know what we're going to do with ourselves, but we all
need to value humanity and goodness before we ruin everything and it's too
late.
